AIHA Presents TeleWeb: The Legal Side Of IH

A Review of Depositions, Testimony, Expert Witnesses, and Liability

Fairfax, VA - The American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA) will host "The Legal Side of IH - A Review Depositions, Testimony, Expert Witnesses, and Liability ", an introductory TeleWeb Virtual Seminar on April 27, 2:00 - 4:30 pm ET. The featured speaker is Neil Feldscher.

This presentation will provide a brief overview of the legal system and the typical interactions of an industrial hygienist with that system. All industrial hygienists may find themselves as a witness in a legal action and therefore may be called for a deposition (or witness at a trial). Depositions and trial testimony vary in purpose, rules, and necessary techniques and each will be discussed separately. For those industrial hygienists that may or intend to serve as expert witnesses, the business aspects and the role of expert witnesses will be discussed. Additionally, practicing as an industrial hygienist exposes you to various liability risks; an overview of these potential liabilities will be provided.
