Huntington Park, CA - Thermostatic Industries launched its new improved coating on Bulldog Red the welding damage control cloth. The new welding cloth represents a combination of high temperature resistance, abrasion resistance & spark resistance. The weldshed coating also stops hazardous fluids from being absorbed into the cloth itself, for improved safety especially when toxic or flammable fluids are present and may penetrate the cloth.

The improved welding damage control cloth has a service temperature up to 537 Celsius (1000 Fahrenheit), does not conduct electricity and is resistant to chemicals and weld spatter. This makes it highly suitable for oil refineries and power plants and any area or surface that has to be protected from weld sparks and weld splatter. The new textile is easy to use as it cuts easily without fraying and drapes easily over machinery or can be rolled out to cover large areas.

The welding damage control cloth is OSHA compliant comes in 38 inch or 60 inch Rolls 50 yards in length and custom fabrication of blankets and curtains can be requested to any size.

Sonny Lathrop, president of Thermostatic Industries Inc felt "that spark control was a major safety concern for industrial maintenance. The improved welding control cloth for use in spark sensitive areas and the creation of non combustible zones would be very effective."
