A 15-minute film on winter driving, Driving Snow: The Keys to Winter Driving is designed to help prepare drivers for highway snow and ice conditions. It can be used to teach winter driving "rookies" such as new drivers, business travelers, and vacationers, and can be used as a refresher and education especially on new automotive technology for experienced winter drivers.

The video presents vital information on accident avoidance, including: skid control, proper use of anti-lock breaking systems (ABS), front and four-wheel drive, tire selection, and winter road hazards. Special attention is given to alcohol impairment and to seatbelt use.

A combination of narration, commentary by winter-driving experts, action footage of problems and solutions, computer animation, and a reinforcing music track are incorporated to make the video easier to watch.

Special attention is given to four-wheel drive over-confidence, a problem often fostered by automotive industry advertising. The unique handling characteristics of the newer, but now common, front-wheel drive vehicles and proper use of ABS are explained.
