Dubai Municipality Organizes Workshops On Occupational Health And Safety
The building department at the civic body has organized recently two workshops on occupational health and safety for its employees.
The first of the series focused on the emergency rescue operations while the second shed light on various measures to be taken in the construction sites with regards to safety.
Near about 35 engineers and inspectors with the civic body took part in the activities.
"The workshops come as part of closely understanding the concept of safety in ever-expanding world of development," said Eng. Marwan Abdulla Al-Mohammed, acting director, building department at the civic body, in this regard.
"We are keen on ensuring the safety of our employees as well as the workers and supervisors who are working in various construction sites in Dubai," he added.
He also said that Dubai has increased its preparedness for any possible untoward incidents and is getting its machinery more experienced in tackling with the odd situations once it happen.
The civic body conducted both workshops at Dubai Municipality club located in Jaddaf collaborating with private firms having expertise in occupational safety.
