Flex-NoPac Shock-Absorbing Lanyard
In a test lab situation, a Flex-NoPac™ shock-absorbing lanyard is anchored at one end and attached to a 220-pound free weight on the other. The free weight is then dropped six feet. The resulting maximum arresting force is less than 900 pounds. this reduction of arresting force may lessen the possibility of injury to the user during fall arrest. The Flex-NoPac™ shock-absorbing is activated by a force of approximately 450 pounds.
The Flex-NoPac™ shock-absorbing lanyard dissipates the energy of the impact may elongate up to 42 inches. This elongation must be considered when choosing a Flex-NoPac™ shock-absorbing lanyard. It is the responsibility of the wearer to make sure that only compatible connections are made through the Fall Arrest (FA) system. By its very nature, the Flex-NoPac™ shock-absorbing lanyard is designed for Fall Arrest (FA), but is may also be used for Fall Prevention (FP). The Flex-NoPac™ shock-absorbing lanyard meets all OSHA regulations in effect at time of shipment.
