Hygiene Test

Hygicult is designed to provide hygiene testing that is easy to perform, with results that are simple to read and available within hours of sampling. It is an agar slide specially designed to enable reliable, economic and timesaving monitoring of microbiological hygiene.

This test is based on the proven technique of gellified plate count media, employed in a manner meeting the rapidly changing needs of modern industry. The method involves plastic hinged slides covered on both sides by an agar growth medium, each slide contained in its own sterile vial. Sampling and inoculation are done directly by pressing the slide onto the work surface, by transferring the sample directly from sterile swabs or by dipping the slide into fluids. Following incubation, the results are easily obtained by comparing the colony density on the agar slide against the density shown on the special model chart provided with the kit. Colony counting is not necessary.

The test can be used to monitor the hygiene level for microbiological contamination. It is very well suited for use by the food industry, where monitoring of hygiene during the production process is crucial. Raw materials and production facilities as well as finished products can also be monitored with the product.
