MSDS Enterprise Server v5.0 Software

Safetec Software is a software development firm that specializes exclusively with the management and authoring of Material Safety Data Sheets. Safetec has been the leading technology provider in MSDS management for the last four years and is continuing that effort by releasing a combination of our two leading MSDS products, MSDS Internet Wizard and MSDS SQL Server which is now called MSDS Enterprise Server. MSDS Enterprise Server is an Internet-based MSDS management solution with a back-end Microsoft SQL Server database that allows an organization to retrieve MSDSs from a collection of their own MSDSs. MSDS Enterprise Server allows you to search, view, and print Material Safety Data Sheets from a world wide web browser. The supported platforms include browsers from Windows 3.1x, Windows 95/98/NT, OS/2 Warp, Macintosh, LINUX and Unix. The cross-platform capabilities of this system allows everyone in your organization access to the critical MSDS information.

Leveraging Internet Technology
Internet-based software solutions are quickly replacing LAN-based software for several reasons. The cross-platform capabilities allows for full maximizing of an organization's computer resources without additional spending for separate software packages or concerns about compatibility issues. Internet-based software applications allow for a single installation of the software versus the installation of software on client computers which can be a time consuming and resource inten-sive process. Technical issues are far simpler to manage on Internet-based systems, thus, reducing the overall costs of maintenance. The cost effectiveness of Internet-based applications is quickly making itself apparent to many organizations.

Internet or Intranet
MSDS Enterprise Server is available in two formats, Internet and Intranet. The Internet version houses the MSDS data at Safetec's Internet site. The customer would send Safetec their paper MSDSs for conversion to .PDF format. Safetec charges a nominal fee for this service. An Intranet version of this product is available which allows an organization to convert their own documents to the .PDF format and house the data on their own networks. MSDS Enterprise Server also comes with its own MSDS search tools to service locations on your network that do not have Internet or Intranet access. Additionally, MSDSs can be provided on a stand-alone CD application for remote areas that do not have connections to the network or Internet.
