New Succeed Management Solutions, LLC Online Training Supports Updated Confined Space Entry In Construction Regulations

OSHA will begin enforcement of the new Confined Spaces in Construction standard beginning October 2, 2015.

(PRWEB) - OSHA has added a new subpart to the existing Confined Space Entry standard to address construction-specific hazards. The final rule includes emphasis on communicating roles and responsibilities, pre-entry procedures, permits, atmospheric testing, and enhanced overall communication through every step of confined space entry. OSHA states this final rule will reduce the number of fatalities and injuries in confined spaces by as much as 96 percent (from OSHA 29 CFR Part 1926 Final Rule, 5/04/2015).

According to OSHA, the “new subpart replaces OSHA’s one training requirement for confined space work with a comprehensive standard that includes a permit program designed to protect employees from exposure to many hazards associated with work in confined spaces…”

The nature of a confined space can be unpredictable. Emphasis on clear communication among all personnel on-site before, during, and after entry is essential to ensure adequate safety. Training workers on the updated OSHA standards is crucial.

Succeed Management Solutions, LLC has released an updated Confined Space Entry training supporting the new standard for the Construction industry. The Confined Space Entry course is designed so that everyone in the workplace is aware of the preventative safety measures to apply in any type of confined space entry scenario in both general industry and construction. This training is the newest updated title in the Succeed Online Training Library.

As with all Succeed courses, this training can be assigned to employees via Training Track™, an application that is designed to automate all aspects of an employee training program. Training Track™ is one of the available applications in Succeed’s web-based Risk Management Center. The Risk Management Center also contains other OSHA-required programs, training materials, and integrated software solutions.

Succeed also writes a blog that contains safety tips, toolbox talks, training shorts, and more.
