Princeton Video Image was awarded a Technical Emmy by the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences for implementation of real time Virtual Imaging in live events on Television. The Emmy was presented to PVI at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York City on October 3, 2000.

This technical Emmy is awarded to an individual, company, or to a specific or technical organization for development and/or standardization involved in engineering technologies, which either represent extensive improvements on existing methods or are so innovative in nature that they materially have affected the transmission, recording or reception of Television.
