M.H. Chew & Associates, Inc., (CAI) provides programmatic safety management and support services. We work with clients to meet operational objectives safely and to resolve programmatic safety and safety management issues. CAI personnel work onsite with clients to develop, implement, and perform oversight of safety management programs. We conduct facility and program evaluations and appraisals to evaluate facility and program effectiveness. Senior CAI personnel work with client counterparts to refine safety policies and standards, thereby improving safety programs.

Specific Services

Radiological protection and health physics

Provide radiological protection, procedures, training, and oversight. Develop, manage, and appraise radiation protection programs; perform source-term definition and transport analysis; and prepare technical specifications.

Criticality safety

Provide criticality safety management, planning, procedures, training, and oversight. Perform criticality analyses using current computer codes.

Fire protection

Provide program management, audits, design and calculation, field experience, and training for a variety of industrial environments, including hazardous chemicals. Conduct fire and life safety inspections and evaluations.

Industrial hygiene and safety

Provide technical support for industrial safety and hygiene planning, procedure development, auditing, and compliance assurance. Conduct field safety inspections and industrial hygiene surveys. Provide occupational safety and industrial health and safety training.

Explosives safety

Provide planning, procedures, training, and auditing services. Evaluate the potential for accidents involving explosives and weapons and analyze the effects of explosions on structures, systems, and components, including the dispersal of hazardous materials.
