Safety Reflectors

The ICEALERT SYSTEM gives drivers and pedestrians an alarm by changing colors from white to blue only when the potential for ice exists. It allows people to "see" the temperature from some distance away. This system can be used in exits, roadsides, wheel chair ramps, sidewalks, and pedestrian bridges. Each year thousands of people, who are unaware of conditions, slip and fall on ice. Placed just outside an exit, the system will give notice when, and only when, freezing or near freezing conditions exist. This "out the door" placement could prevent many of these damaging and costly slip and fall accidents by alarming people that caution should be used.

Accompanying each system are explanatory signs that say "BLUE INDICATES FREEZING TEMPERATURE". According to the manufacturer, these reflectors are easy to install, require little, if any, upkeep, are very strong and long lasting, and can backup the timely application of de-icers and non-slip compounds on walkways, driveways, ramps, and loading docks set. There is no electronic components, wires or batteries to contend with.
