Substation Maintenance I

Medium-voltage circuit breaker fundamentals, maintenance and testing methods
Perform insulation resistance, contact resistance, overpotential, vacuum integrity, power factor testing and tank-loss index for air, oil and vacuum medium-voltage circuit breakers in lab
Switchgear arrangement, torque requirements, insulation systems and maintenance intervals
Perform switchgear inspection and maintenance in lab
Battery types, applications, systems and components
Perform battery maintenance and testing in lab
Basic overcurrent and voltage protective relay fundamentals, maintenance and testing methods
Interpretation of all test results

Perform insulation resistance, transformer turns ratio (TTR), power/dissipation factor, core excitation, winding resistance and a wide range of insulating liquid tests in lab
