  • Substation types, applications, configurations, components and applicable maintenance and safety procedures from nationally-recognized standards and manufacturers recommendations
  • Medium-voltage circuit breaker fundamentals, maintenance and testing methods
  • Perform insulation resistance, contact resistance, overpotential, vacuum integrity, power factor testing and tank-loss index for air, oil and vacuum medium-voltage circuit breakers in lab
  • Switchgear arrangement, torque requirements, insulation systems and maintenance intervals
  • Perform switchgear inspection and maintenance in lab
  • Battery types, applications, systems and components
  • Perform battery maintenance and testing in lab
  • Basic overcurrent and voltage protective relay fundamentals, maintenance and testing methods
  • Interpretation of all test results

  • Perform insulation resistance, transformer turns ratio (TTR), power/dissipation factor, core excitation, winding resistance and a wide range of insulating liquid tests in lab
  • Interpretation of all test results
