The Polytron 2 XP Tox is an explosion proof gas detector for continuous monitoring of more than 80 different toxic gases and oxygen in ambient air. The unit is designed for one-man, non-intrusive calibration, and offers a range of diagnostics and self test features. The configuration and calibration of the transmitter is menu driven and uses either the infrared remote control, built in push buttons or a HART hand held terminal. With optional on board relays, this system can be operated as a stand alone unit.
The transmitter uses microprocessor technology to convert the signal from an electrochemical sensor to a 4-20mA, Hart or RS485 analog and digital signal output. It is UL and CENELEC (CSA pending) approved for installation in hazardous locations
