AIHce 2007 Sure To Draw A Crowd In Philly

Fairfax, VA - An expected 7,000 industrial hygienists (IH) and occupational and environmental health and safety (OEHS) professionals will attend the American Industrial Hygiene Conference and Exposition (AIHce), a 5% increase from AIHce 2006 attendance. Conference-goers will find the latest science-based solutions for protecting workers and their health, and they also will hear plenty of practical advice on business-related issues that IHs and OEHS professionals face every day. Among the hundreds of hands-on educational opportunities offered, participants will have the chance to earn up to 6.5 CM points; attend 74 weekend professional development courses (PDCs); 40 educational tracks, including an early career and student track; 119 technical sessions; podium sessions; roundtables; environmental health and safety (EHS) crossover programs; technical tours; and poster sessions.

Diverse topics ranging from mold to nanotechnology will be featured at the upcoming 68th annual AIHce, June 2–7, 2007, at the Pennsylvania Convention Center, highlighting a six-day schedule of learning opportunities and one of the largest expositions in the health and safety profession. AIHce is cosponsored by the American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA) and the American Conference of Governmental Industrial Hygienists (ACGIH®).

The expo is the focal point of the AIHce conference. An exposition featuring the health and safety products and services of more than 300 companies will offer demonstrations of gas masks and other personal protective equipment, mold testing and remediation technologies and services, hearing protection, lab safety equipment, and many other products and services. Expo hours are 9 a.m.–5:30 p.m., Monday, June 4; 9 a.m.–3 p.m., Tuesday, June 5; and 9 a.m.–1:30 p.m., Wednesday, June 6. In addition to the exhibits and educational opportunities, the expo is a great place to network. A special Networking Reception in the exhibit hall will give attendees a chance to mingle and connect with colleagues while exploring everything the expo has to offer.

At AIHce 2007, participants will represent a wide variety of interests, including industrial hygiene, environmental health, safety, engineering, consulting, general business management, and much more. This year's theme of "Sparking Tradition with Invention" will provide fresh, dynamic solutions to today's challenges—new standards and regulations, technological innovations, international security issues, and expanding practice areas.

These top-notch programs are set against the unique backdrop of Philadelphia, a city with the greatest concentration of American history, alongside modern-day, big city excitement.

Linking tradition with invention, AIHce 2007 will lead the path for groundbreaking discoveries of tomorrow. Don't miss the best education program of the year!
