This new program, "Back Injury Prevention: Taking Control", helps reduce the number of back injuries at users' facilities. The program educates employees on the contributing risk factors and trains them on safety practices to reduce their exposure. Examples showing correct ways to perform the job yet still keep a healthy, strong back are demonstrated in a variety of work scenarios. They are designed to be clear and understandable, and are presented in a positive way to motivate viewers to put them into daily use. Topics include:
How the back functions
Correct lifting and carrying techniques
Correct posture
Stretching to prevent injury
How good health reduces chance of injury
