Bioservo Technologies AB (publ) Releases A New Version Of Its Popular Bionic Healthcare Glove: Carbonhand And The Carbonhand App

Bioservo releases a new version of its popular bionic healthcare glove: Carbonhand and a complimentary app. Carbonhand is a grip strengthening device that has been developed using Bioservo’ s patented SEM technology. It is part of the next generation of medical devices that combine the best of two worlds – medical research and ground-breaking bionics.

Bioservo releases an updated version of its healthcare glove: Carbonhand and a complimentary app. Carbonhand is, like its predecessor SEM Glove, a grip strengthening medical device that has been developed using Bioservo’ s patented SEM technology. It is designed for users with an impaired hand function. Carbonhand is part of the next generation of medical devices that combine the best of two worlds – medical research and ground-breaking bionic technology. It is designed to be a wearable which is intuitive and easy to use. It supports the wearer when there is a need for extra strength and endurance in the hand. For users with impaired hand function the glove facilitates a normal movement pattern. It also enables a reliable steady grip which can increase safety and security for the wearer, reducing risk for injuries due to for example from falling. In addition to that, improved hand function provides the possibility for more physical activity which speeds up the recovery after an illness or injury.

Carbonhand is the result of Bioservos own extensive research and development paired with user feedback, recommendations of occupational therapists as well as physiotherapists and the participation in several EU research projects, e.g. HandinMind, ironHand.  It provides an improved user experience; the wearer comfort is maximized and glove design enhanced, making the glove suitable for a wider range of users. Like its predecessor SEM Glove, Carbonhand can be adjusted and fine tuned to the wearers needs and prerequisites. To make this as easy as possible Bioservo has launched an app as an accessory to the glove. The Carbonhand app is available for iPhone and Android devices.

The name Carbonhand was chosen as a tribute to the quintessential element carbon. By selecting this name Bioservo wants to emphasize that its technology simply blends in, enhances and does not control the human body.

Carbonhand is now available to order and the Carbonhand app can be downloaded from the App store or Google Play store. Carbonhand will replace the currently available SEM Glove.
