Brass Knuckle's BKCR3520 Glove: Reinforced Cut And Abrasion Protection With Hold-Tight Grip

BKCR3520 Glove

Flexible HDPE Cut Level 3 Shell

Brass Knuckle, a provider of high-quality safety solutions, introduces the SmartCut BKCR3520, an ANSI Cut Level 3 glove. Designed to combine medium-level cut protection with excellent abrasion and slip resistance, the 3520 also delivers a high level of dexterity. Its slip-resistant foam nitrile palm coat provides a secure grip, and its reinforced thumb crotch provides excellent abrasion resistance in the glove’s most critical wear area — between the thumb and forefinger.

The BKCR3520, part of Brass Knuckle’s SmartCut line of hand protection, has a seamless shell made of 15-gauge, high-performance polyethylene (HDPE) composite yarn, delivering ANSI cut level 3 protection that’s as flexible and versatile as a general purpose work glove. The durable nitrile coating on the palm and fingers channels oil away from the surface, providing excellent slip resistance.

But the big difference maker for the 3520 is the reinforcement in the thumb crotch, an area prone to significant wear and tear. Heavy abrasion can eventually wear down the glove’s coating, meaning the glove is no longer safe to wear. For applications such as construction, electrical and general assembly, glass handling, HVAC, manufacturing, parts cleaning, vehicular construction, receiving, and sheet metal handling, the 3520 is an ideal choice.

Tony Spearing, vice president of Brass Knuckle, said that these gloves get high marks from workers who don’t like “throwing away perfect hand protection, but their application — pulling, dragging, or lifting jagged or abrasive materials — has blown out the inner thumb area. We knew we could fix that.”

The carefully considered design of the BKCR3520, with its flexible shell and slip-resistant foam nitrile coating, translates to increased protection and a longer life. That means greater cost savings.
