Case Monitoring

Medcor monitors all cases sent to off-site providers. Our medical professionals:

Help ensure that employees keep appointments and follow prescribed treatment regimens;

Acquaint off-site providers with their firsthand information on job requirements and the workplace environment;

Update off-site providers on recent assessments of injured employees;

Review treatment that appears excessive given their firsthand observations of employees;

Review bills from off-site providers for mistakes;

Return employees to work (in modified or alternate duties if necessary) as soon as appropriate. We follow every case closely, whether treated on site or off. Our monitoring system yields several benefits. First, we notice right away if patients aren't making progress; that allows us to quickly modify treatment. Second, we return patient care to the on-site facility assoon as possible. Third, we enhance the performance of good claims managers by providing them timely, complete and accurate information and by being their "eyes" and "ears" on-site Fourth, we return people to work as soon as possible.
