Confined Space Safety Products

Omniglow Lightsticks and LIGHTSHAPE Markers enable safe assessment, testing and tracking of potential confined space dangers with no sparks, no heat, no flames - no chance of explosion. Upon entering a confined space, users can activate and toss in two high-intensity lightsticks. Any existing visible hazardous conditions can be readily identified. They can use the markers at the entrance to mark the condition of the atmosphere within a confined space. Green markers indicate the confined space has been atmospherically tested and approved for entry with proper personal protective equipment Orange markers signify that the confined space has not been atmospherically tested. Red markers mean the conditions have been tested and deemed too hazardous

Users can also make a "bread crumb trail" when one or more persons and/or teams are in multiple areas of confined spaces by:

•Designating a specific color to each team and/or person
•Leaving a sample lightstick and/or marker at the entrance to the space
•Having each team leave the specified color at various points along the "trail" until the work area is reached

These procedures help create a well-lit area for employee egress. Also, if an individual from a color-coded team is injured, Emergency Response teams can locate the person more quickly.
