Contractors cannot afford accidents
Contractors cannot afford accidents. A delay in project completion due to an accident may result in penalties, overtime expenses, and other supplemental costs. Liberty Mutual is committed to helping contractors prevent such losses. Our loss prevention contracting consultants have the experience and resources to assist you in safety issues such as industrial hygiene, vibration, ergonomics, transportation, fire protection, and more. Whether your contracting business involves the building crafts, street and road work, tunneling, or marine operations, our services can address your company's loss areas.

Job Site Visits

Working with you, our consultants can audit and evaluate your existing safety program for the key elements that help ensure success - top management support, work rules enforcement, regular self-inspections, and employee training. We also work closely with superintendents to identify and develop controls for typical hazards such as:

  • Fall exposures;
  • Manual materials handling;
  • Potential struck-by or -against accidents;
  • Vehicular, electrical, and occupational illness exposures.

Pre-planning For Safety
Job site supervisors are accustomed to planning the labor, materials, and equipment they'll need for each phase of a job. Pre-planning for safety works the same way. It allows you to anticipate and control the safety hazards of upcoming work. It is far more efficient to plan for a potential hazard than to react to an accident! We will work closely with management to ensure that both employee safety and public safety loss exposures are identified and controlled in advance.
