This Usage Based Controls (UBC) system is founded on the idea that safe operating conditions can be assured at different airflow levels, based upon user presence at the fume hood. This system is designed to provide safe and cost-effective operation independent of sash position. When the operator is not present, the airflow can be reduced. This system, applicable in both VAV and CV environments, lowers airflow at every safe opportunity. Additional features include:
