Designed to work in hazardous environments and survive the roughest of handling, the CSI-2100 meets the highest level of Intrinsic Safe Approval while providing safe and efficient communication for people who must work in Confined Spaces and Hazardous Areas.

The tough molded fiberglass exterior with stainless steel hardware protects a state-of-the-art, full duplex communication system, configured for one Attendant to have continuous contact with up to three entrants/ workers. For user comfort, each channel has its own volume control, which can be adjusted on demand by the Attendant. Utilizing available options & accessories, a single CSI-2100 can be configured for seven users. By connecting a second CSI 2100, a single System can be configured to handle a maximum of fourteen users.

The battery-powered unit is lightweight and portable. Three 1.5v alkaline 'C' cells provide a 400 hour life on standby. The CSI-2100 is fuse protected and a low battery indicator gives 12hour visual warning of battery replacement. This is easily accomplished via external access to the battery holder.

Other standard features of the CSI-2100 include an external ground to remove the possibility of electrostatic discharge and a standard port to allow a CSI-2140 Alarm Module to be connected.

Basic systems configured with a CSI-2100, allow an Operator and three Users to communicate but can be expanded using available options to handle three additional Users for a total of seven.


The Hardline is a shielded communication cable which is physically strong and resistant to a wide range of corrosive fluids, acids, alkalis and fuels. The custom designed cable is not subject to dead spots, electrical or RF interference. A complete range of accessories is available to help workers configure the equipment for any application or environment including use in extreme high noise or while wearing breathing apparatus or respirators. All components and accessories are manufactured to a Military standard and are fully interchangeable between the CSI-2100 and CSI-1100 Systems.

PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION

The CSI-2100 Command Module is extremely rugged. The enclosure is molded fiberglass with stainless steel hardware. It is environmentally sealed and along with all external knobs and controls, is impervious to a wide range of acids, alkalis, fuels, and other corrosive chemical products including Skydrol. The MIL Spec connectors and high quality components coupled with the Intrinsically Safe design make the CSI 2100 a truly reliable unit. . This module and its associated equipment is designed to meet military requirements.
