Danatec Releases 12 New Online Safety Courses

Electrical Safety and Joint Health and Safety Committee lead new material charge

This breaks the record for new materials released in Danatec’s 33-year history. With online learning at an all-time high, Danatec meets the demand for online learning with interactive, engaging and compliant safety training.

The 12 new courses include:

• Electrical Safety – Electrical Safety Training System (ESTS) Electrical Worker – Canada, Arc Flash & Shock

  The all-new ESTS courses features responsive digital design, custom scenario illustrations, LearnerVerified™ compatibility and an interactive Virtual Electrical Workplace. There are significant changes to the Arc Flash Risk Assessment content including two individual risk assessments and upgraded use of video and 3D animations to enhance practical in the field learning and application. It is an updated course from a technical view to a more immersive first-person perspective with the Work Flow Process, focusing on employee and supervisor interactions.

  These new courses will guide Electrical Workers and Non-Electrical Workers through an updated electrical safety Standard that will allow them to implement and develop an Electrical Safety Program in their workplace.

• Joint Health and Safety Committee – With Bill 30 legislated and wholly in place in Alberta as of June 1, 2018, all companies are mandated and must comply with the creation of a Joint Work Site Health & Safety Committee for businesses with 20 or more employees. Businesses with employees between 5 - 19 will be required to appoint a Health and Safety Representative.

  With Danatec’s new Joint Health & Safety Committee and Representative Online Training the learner will learn: how to effectively plan, establish and carry out the functions of an HSC, legislation pertaining to the functioning of an HSC, the duties required of HSCs/H&S representatives, hazard recognition, assessment, control, and evaluation.

  Released with partner Summa College, these courses address the industry need for equipment training for warehouses, loading docks and other industrial environments with easy to understand online learning.
