Combining the Texas Electronics, Inc. sensors with the rugged weatherproof RTU-3355 multichannel datalogger results in a reliable, efficient, and accurate weather data acquisition station. Major features are listed below.
- Weatherproof enclosure
- Gas discharge tubes for lightning protection on all analog channels
- Thirty hour back-up battery for operation in power outage
- Secondary back-up batteries on memory to ensure data retention
- Fourteen analog input channels, five can be
- configured for 4-20 ma input
Thirteen digital input channels
- Eight digital (open collector) outputs
- Software allows instantaneous, maximum, minimum, and averages for most weather parameters. Derived dew point, rainfall rate, along with daily, monthly, and yearly rain totals provided.
- Software is pre-programmed for station configuration. Initialization and selection of datalog parameter easy to implement.
- Solar power kit available for remote sites
- Eight digital output ("totem pole" switches) provide for control of other computer equipment, devices, switches, relays, etc.
- Soil temperature, water level, and water flow sensors can be added to sensor suite
