Utility maintenance personnel are exposed to hazardous voltages on a routine basis. To ensure safe work practices, personnel must understand safety regulations, electrical hazards and the use of safe work procedures and protective equipment. Applying safety regulations properly is essential to preventing accidents and loss of life.
This course is intended for new, multi-craft or experienced electricians, linemen, substation technicians, engineers, supervisors and safety managers that install, maintain, repair, troubleshoot or work around power generation, transmission and distribution equipment. This course meets the mandated training requirements of OSHA 1910.332 and .269. The student should have basic knowledge of AC/DC electricity.
