M.H. Chew & Associates, Inc., (CAI) provides a broad range of engineering services to its clients. - CAI personnel conduct safety evaluations and assessments and write and review safety analysis reports and other safety documentation. CAI prepares hazards, risk, and accident analyses and has completed criticality safety analyses for our clients. CAI has performed the safety analysis and prepared the safety analysis reports for major nuclear facilities.
- CAI supports the development of a variety of government standards regulating U.S. Department of Energy facilities and operations. In addition, CAI facilitates interaction among stakeholders to build consensus for and acceptance of the standard.
- CAI has completed shielding design and conducted radiation dose assessments.
- CAI has provide the design and engineering of proposed low-level waste process and disposal facilities and waste management for nuclear facilities. We work with clients to develop, implement, and oversee radioactive and hazardous waste management programs.
- CAI has conducted facility design studies for various government facilities. We work with clients to establish design parameters, including defining safety criteria and equipment safety classes for design and engineering projects. We evaluate the consequences of modifications to existing facilities on operations and safety programs.
