Description: Ergonomic for the Office is intended for the individual who can suffer stress and strain due to the physical office environment. Also referred to as human engineering, ergonomics is concerned with helping people interact more comfortably and efficiently in their environment. In the early 1980's, ergonomic principles were introduced to the workplace. Today, ergonomic practices prevent physical on-the-job stress and strain and prevent Cumulative Trauma Disorder, or CTDs. This course covers proper work station set, potential types of injury, and demonstrates numerous exercises for coping with on-the-job stress and strain.
