FrenchCreek Production Unveils The 'Z SERIES' Products To Conform To The New 2007 ANSI Z359.1 Standards

Franklin, PA - Kicking off the new year, FrenchCreek Production Inc. has officially unveiled its full line of ‘Z SERIES' Products, designed to meet or exceed the revised Z359.1 standards set forth by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI). The updated standard went into effect on October 15, 2007, and is another change for the Fall Protection Industry and for some of the companies & users of Fall Protection Equipment.
One of the major updates to the ANSI Z359.1 standard is the new Gate Strength requirements, which requires snap hooks and carabiners meet the following conditions:
- Gate Face must withstand a load of 3,600 lbs. (old standard was 220 lbs.)
- Side of Gate must withstand a load of 3,600 lbs. (old standard was 350 lbs.)
- Minor Axis of snap hooks or carabiners (except captive eyes) must withstand a load of 3,600 lbs.
- Tensile loads must withstand a load of 5,000 lbs. (same as old standard)
FrenchCreek Production is offering an additional, ALL NEW Product Line called the ‘Z SERIES', to help companies comply with the new ANSI Standard.
