IEEE And Canadian Standards Association Announce Joint Agreement To Improve And Promote Electrical Safety

Toronto, ON - The IEEE and Canadian Standards Association (CSA), both leading developers of standards and codes, today announced a joint agreement designed to improve electrical safety by promoting awareness, knowledge and the application of standards and industry best practices in the community and workplace.

Under the terms of the Memorandum of Understanding between IEEE and CSA, the two organizations will work closely to develop and provide products and services designed to improve electrical safety. The two organizations will also explore opportunities to jointly sponsor conferences on subjects of common interest and pursue other standardization initiatives.

The agreement is designed to provide an opportunity to identify and establish long-term relationships in areas that are strategically important to both organizations, allow for the provision of solutions in a timely manner that meet stakeholder needs, enable collaboration and/or sharing of expertise in emerging markets, and lead to the strengthening of national and international recognition, acceptance, and use of IEEE and CSA products and services.
