IOSH Courses To Improve Safety And Health Standards Translated Into Turkish

The Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) has translated two leading training courses into Turkish to help improve workplace safety standards in Turkey.

Many workers in Turkey are employed in industries such as agriculture, forestry and construction – sectors with high accident and fatality rates, where good workplace safety and health knowledge and training is vital in order to protect workers.

IOSH’s Managing Safely and Working Safely courses have been launched in Turkish to provide those in working roles in Turkey with a greater understanding of how to work safely and to better prepare them to have a greater awareness of hazards and risks in the workplace.

Turkey is a country that recognises the importance of OSH standards. Sectors such as construction and agriculture seek occupationally competent employees to uphold these standards.

In Turkey there are a number of institutions specialized in the field of occupational safety and health, including the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health Research and Development (İSGÜM) and the Turkish Standards Institute, which has adopted many international standards in occupational safety and health.
