This portable landing zone kit helps Paramedic helicopters find their target. The SOS-TurboFlare LZ consists of five TurboFlare units, four with red lights, one with blue. They come in a compact carrying case for easy transportation. This device is designed to be so tough that it can be run over with a 3,800-lb truck and it will keep right on flashing.
The kit uses 'C' type alkaline batteries that will last over 100 hours per flare. The light emitting diodes used in these units are bright enough that they can be seen from the air from 25 miles away.
