Laser Doppler Vibrometers (LDVs) like the new Ometron VH300+ LDV are optical instruments primarily designed for accurate and efficient non-contact measurement of surface velocity
Laser Doppler Vibrometers (LDVs) like the new Ometron VH300+ LDV are optical instruments primarily designed for accurate and efficient non-contact measurement of surface velocity. LDVs are widely used in applications where standard accelerometer transducers are impractical or prohibited. "Point and shoot" operation totally eliminates the tedious mounting and wiring of surface sensors. The Ometron VH300+ LDV is also ideal for users who repeatedly need quick, accurate and reliable measurements from one position on a production line. Other applications include those at very high or very low temperatures, in nuclear or chemically polluted environments, in high magnetic fields, etc.
