The Model 8900 is a multipurpose gas chromatograph designed to continuously monitor single or multiple gas components in a wide range of applications.
It is ideal for a number of markets including Environmental, Industrial Hygiene, Well Logging / Mud Logging and Industrial Gas / Specialty Gas analysis. Environmental applications include; Methane - Nonmethane Hydrocarbons (NMHC's), BTX (benzene, toluene, toluene), BTEX (benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, toluene). Industrial Hygiene applications include toxic gas analysis from a list of many chemicals such as Ethylene Oxide, ABS (acrylonitrile, butadiene, styrene) and Epichlorohydrin. Well Logging applications include a fast C1-C5 (methane, ethane, propane, butane, pentane) analysis. Industrial Gas / Specialty Gas applications include contaminants in beverage grade CO2 (Carbon Dioxide) such as Acetaldehyde, BTEX, Ethanol, Dimethyl Ether and Ethyl Acetate.
The analyzer is microprocessor based containing powerful embedded firmware that is virtually transparent to the end user. There are a variety of state of the art detector, calibration and gas train options offering the flexibility and precision necessary to analyze from sub- parts per million (sub-ppm) to percent levels.
Automatic calibration is ideal for unattended operation. The internal pump option makes it compact and transportable. There are a variety of industry standard outputs, such asRS-485 / RS232, multiple 4-20 mA or 0-20 mA, and multiple relays for alarm, diagnostics or user specified timed events.
Applications are pre-configured before delivery or by running SkyChrom™ software on a computer. The computer can be disconnected and the analyzer will operate independently. When connected to a PC, data can be collected in a universal text format with a user definable data export utility for reports. Chromatograms can be stored continuously or based on events such as alarms. Detector options include Photoionization Detector (PID), Flame Ionization Detector (FID) and Thermal Conductivity Detector (TCD).
