National Demolition Association's 2009 'Demolition Academy' At OSHA Training Institute

The National Demolition Association brings demolition professionals right to the source of comprehensive workplace safety and health programs with its 'Demolition Academy,' taking place at the OSHA Directorate of Training and Education facility in Illinois. The 'Demolition Academy' has become the leading source of demolition safety training.

Doylestown, PA (PRWEB) -- The National Demolition Association's respected Demolition Academy - an intensive safety and management training event - will take place this year for the first time at the OSHA Training Institute in Arlington Heights, IL, October 14 - 16.

The Demolition Academy begins on October 14 with the Demolition-Specific OSHA 10-Hour Certification, offered in both English and Spanish. For those already holding their certification, there is in-depth training in fall protection, accident investigation, confined space, and aerial lift training.

The October 15 session provides a continuation of the Demolition-Specific OSHA Certification of the previous day, or the option of full-day management training workshops.

On October 16, a variety of safety training workshops is available.

The Demolition-Specific OSHA 10-Hour Training Certification is taught by certified instructors and is required by many of the industry's larger clients, according to Taylor. "It should be an important part of every company's safety training program and is also required as part of OSHA's Disaster Site Worker Training Certification," he said, adding that 2009 is the 15th year that the Association has been offering a formal safety training program to the industry.

The National Demolition Association's Demolition Academy gives participants a wide selection of options for attending the event for one, two, or all three days. Costs range from $400 for the three-day event ($500 for non-members) to $175 for a one-day safety training event ($225 for non-members.)
