North Appoints Senior Executives Worldwide
Cranston, RI 2004 In a strategic move today, North announced a new slate of general managers in the USA, Canada, China and Europe. Reporting to Sid Ellis, President of North Safety Products, Industrial Division are John Kime, Vice President and General Manager, USA; Vern Metcalfe, Vice President and General Manager, Canada; Leon Klapwijk, Managing Director Europe; Ed Wenz, Vice President, IT & General Manager of the newly formed Asia Division. As part of the senior management reorganization, Jackee Shepherd is promoted to Vice President Operations, North America.
The new senior executive appointments worldwide for each division will be responsible for its sales and marketing in keeping with our geographic customer market focus.
In the US division, Ron Lee, Vice President Sales Western Division and John Friend, Vice President Sales, Eastern Division will both report to John Kime. Mr. Kime will appoint a new Vice President, Marketing in the near future.
In Canada, John Greer, Vice President Marketing, Larry Matthews, Director of Sales for Western Canada, Rick Hansen, Director of Sales for Central Canada, Pierre Guillemette, Director of Sales for Eastern Canada will all report to Mr. Metcalfe.
In Europe, reporting to Mr. Klapwijk are Willem Lambregts, Area Sales Manager, Belgium, Netherlands, Luxemburg; Walter Hooymann, Area Sales Manager, Germany, Austria, Switzerland & Eastern Europe; Philippe Renoult, Area Sales Manager, France; Ron Veenstra, Area Sales Manager, Middle East, Southern Europe; Anders Jonasson, Area Sales Manager, Scandinavia; Mark Baxter, Area Sales Manager, UK and Ireland.
In Asia, Denis Campbell, Sales Manager, Southeast Asia/Australia and Jason Xie, Sales Manager, China will report to Mr. Wenz.

We want to leverage our offering on a greater scale. The above organization will allow North to focus on our key geographical businesses and maintain regional focus through relationships with our valued customers. It also will provide a global strategy for the Personal Protective Equipment market."
