North Safety Products Acquires Fibre-Metal Products
Cranston, RI - Charles "Sid" Ellis, President, North Safety Products recently announced that North Safety Products has acquired Pennsylvania-based Fibre-Metal Products, the pioneer of the protective welding helmet. The acquisition will strengthen North's global market position as a full-line manufacturer of personal protective equipment (PPE) and create significant new opportunities for the company. The deal also represents tremendous opportunity for Fibre-Metal to advance its position in the PPE market and offer customers additional options for safety products.

Fibre-Metal Products headquartered in Concordville, Pennsylvania and established in 1905 is a designer and manufacturer of premium head protection equipment including protective hard hats, face shields and welding helmets. Regional distribution centers are located in Aston, PA, Atlanta, GA, Chicago, IL, Houston, Texas, and Los Angeles, California. Canadian distribution centers are located in Mississauga, Ontario and Edmonton, Alberta.
