Panduit Introduces Wall Switch Lockout

Panduit Corp. announces the introduction of a new device that is designed for locking out electrical supply controlled by WS896E, AC wall switches. The Panduit PSL-WS Wall Switch Lockout prevents unauthorized activation of an electrical switch in compliance with OSHA standard 29CFR1910.147.

The PSL-WS Wall Switch Lockout features a compact, secure design that fits most toggle switches. It is easily attached without removal of the faceplate or screws. For quick installation of the lockout, the user simply turns the switch to the desired position and places the lockout over the switch. Using a standard screwdriver, the lockout set screw is tightened and then secured with a padlock and identified with a specially designed warning tag.

The OSHA standard was developed to prevent the accidental startup of equipment under repair or service and the needless deaths and injuries caused by such mishaps. The Panduit Wall Switch Lockout is designed to increase safety on the job and facilitate compliance with OSHA requirements.
