The Multi PID is a photo-ionization detector for measuring organic contaminants in the air
Draeger Safety, Inc.ID is a photo-ionization detector for measuring organic contaminants in the air. The unit weighs less than 800 g and is operated via six keys. Two displays with background illumination provide clear and fast information. The upper display indicates the measured concentration in ppm, the lower one includes a menu-driven variable display making it easy to calibrate the instrument and enter substance-specific data or data transmission into a computer. The system also incorporates display modes such as:
Maximum concentration determined during measurement
15-minute average value
8-hour average value
Maximum concentration determined during measurement
15-minute average value
8-hour average value
It has been approved as an explosion-proof instrument and can be used for measurements in critical areas. The PID functional principle is based on the ionization of organic substances present in the air by means of an UV-source, enabling detection of a complete group of substances.
