Quest Introduces VI-400Pro Real-Time Vibration Analyzer & Updated QuestSuite Professional II Software
New Monitor & Software Completes System Solution for Human Vibration Monitoring, Analysis and Control
Oconomowoc, WI - Quest Technologies Inc, a provider of occupational health and safety instrumentation & systems, today announced introduction of the Model VI-400Pro Advanced Real-Time Vibration Analyzer and updated QuestSuite Professional II (QSP II) Applications Software. The VI400Pro and QSP II provide real-time full and third-octave frequency analysis of hand-arm, whole-body and machine vibration. In some regions of the world, human vibration exposures are required by law to be quantified for discrete octave bands. Elsewhere, while broadband measurements of vibration are a prudent first step, applying engineering controls to resolve excessive vibration levels requires an understanding of the frequency content of the vibration. The VI-400Pro and Quest's Model HAVPro Basic Vibration Monitor now work together with QuestSuite Professional II Applications Software to form a single, simple-to-use system solution for vibration monitoring.
The VI-400Pro is a rugged and powerful handheld device ideal for field use. The VI-400Pro analyzes up to four input channels simultaneously, each including 1/1 or 1/3 real-time octave band data. While three channels are typically used for tri-axial vibration measurements, a bonus fourth channel may be used to simultaneously analyze either sound or an additional single axis of vibration by attaching additional optional transducers to the instrument. The VI-400Pro meets Type/Class 1 requirements of international standards ISO 8041, IEC 651, IEC 804 and IEC 61672 for human vibration and sound measuring devices.
The HAVPro is a compact, lightweight handheld device ideal for initial screening for vibration levels and for ongoing preventative maintenance programs and quality assurance programs. The HAVPro meets Type 1 requirements of international standard ISO 8041 for human vibration measuring devices.
The complete system is designed for use in accordance with the requirements of ISO 2631, ISO 5349, ACGIH Threshold Limit Values, the new EU Physical Agents Vibration Directive 2002/44/EC, ANSI S3.34, ANSI S3.18 and numerous other hand-arm and whole-body vibration standards around the world. The QuestSuite Professional software application includes powerful productivity tools like an exposure calculator and combined test utility that allow users to confidently and conveniently explore both administrative and engineering control solutions.
