SafeCon Consulting And Reno Contracting Join Forces To Set A Gold Standard In Construction Safety
San Diego, CA - SafeCon Consulting and Reno Contracting have formed a strategic alliance to create an advanced safety culture at Reno Contracting. The two companies are partnering to develop a safety program that will set a new standard for safety awareness and safe construction practices in the San Diego construction industry.
"This is a full-on commitment to making safety paramount in everything we do," said Matt Reno, CEO of Reno Contracting. "We intend to set the safety bar high and maintain a rigorous standard for safety throughout our company. Our commitment to safety will show in the quality of our work, the caliber of our people and the efficiency of our processes."
Sam Iler, president of SafeCon, noted that the broad scope of the alliance will ensure a comprehensive, leading-edge safety program. The two companies will work together to revise and enhance Reno's existing safety guidelines; provide supervisory personnel with safety and risk management training and support; undertake site safety surveys; conduct safety training classes; and provide preconstruction safety services. The scope of the alliance also calls for SafeCon to monitor and advise Reno on new and upcoming regulatory issues and to assist Reno in promoting its safety culture among employees, vendors and subcontractors.
One key feature of the program will be the establishment of an internal safety committee at Reno Contracting. "Top management from both SafeCon and Reno will participate on the safety committee," noted Walt Fegley, president of Reno Contracting. "The involvement of senior-level managers demonstrates the company's commitment to the safety program and to safety as a way of life at Reno. It is also a two-way street that will allow top managers to stay apprised of any safety issues that might arise in the field."
Reno Contracting is one of San Diego's leading general contractors and has made a significant mark on the San Diego construction landscape.
