INDUSTRY NOTE

OSHA has a general requirement for fit-testing, which must be done on all employees before a respirator is provided and at least once a year after that. This is costly because the methods and record keeping requirements are defined in the standard. However, all Neoterik hoods are exempt from this requirement, so battery powered or supplied air hoods eliminate ongoing costs of fit testing.
