SafetySign.com Introduces New Safety Sign Designs

New sizes and styles utilize the latest safety standards to improve safety.

Garfield, NJ (PRWEB) - SafetySign.com, a leading source of safety signs, traffic signs, and parking signs, and a division of Brimar Industries, Inc., has recently added hundreds of construction site safety sign designs and sizes to its website.

The new designs and sizes have been developed to help employers increase the visibility of their signage and to warn workers of potential workplace hazards sooner.

In compliance with the latest American National Standards Institute (ANSI) design recommendations, SafetySign.com’s new construction safety signs integrate graphical symbols, such as hazard alert, mandatory, and prohibition symbols, better than older Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) style signs. These new ANSI designs also use signal words that better define the significance of workplace hazards.

The ANSI design accommodates a more substantial message to better inform persons subject to potential hazards.

In addition to using formats that display more valuable information, SafetySign.com has also introduced a larger size sign to increase hazard awareness. The new construction sign size of 48 inches by 36 inches is available in a number of materials, including aluminum and corrugated plastic with brass grommet holes, which is a newly offered material from the signage leader.

Older OSHA style signage and new ANSI designs are available in this larger sign size.

This new size can greatly increase hazard awareness on a large job site. Based on the ANSI Z535.2 sign standard that sets a ratio of 25 feet of viewing distance per inch of sign text height, the large size sign easily accommodates signal words such as “warning” and text in the message panel with a height of 1.5 inches. Using the ANSI ratio, the message panel text would be visibility from 37 feet away under what ANSI describes as favorable viewing conditions.

A common size for construction site signs is 14 inches by 10 inches and under the same viewing conditions is considered viewable from only 12 feet away.
