MI/OSHA's scaffold safety standard, which took effect November 29, 1996, requires that employees who perform work while on a scaffold must be trained to recognize the hazards associated with the type of scaffold being used and to understand the procedures to control or minimize those hazards
4 SafetyHA's scaffold safety standard, which took effect November 29, 1996, requires that employees who perform work while on a scaffold must be trained to recognize the hazards associated with the type of scaffold being used and to understand the procedures to control or minimize those hazards. This one-day, Scaffold User Course, has been specially designed as a model training program to satisfy the standards's training requirements.

Course Topics:
Hazards from falls
Being struck by falling objects
Electrical hazards and access
Proper use of the scaffold
Proper handling of materials on the scaffold
Maximum intended load of the scaffold

Who Should Attend:
Any worker who will be assigned to a jobsite where scaffold hazards exist, and those individuals who need to become familiar with MI/OSHA Standards for fall protection.
