The PKB was introduced as a single-unit DC injection braking system that can be DIN-rail mounted.
The PKB was introduced as a single-unit DC injection braking system that can be DIN-rail mounted.

The company has now launched a second, single-unit braking system, this time for smaller applications in a compact 90mm housing. The PKB-M is suitable for braking motors from 0.1 to 15A and from 0.2 to 30A.

Users can set the brake current and brake time on the convenient foil keypad on the face of the unit. Information is retrieved via the LCD display that allows 2 rows of 8 characters. Benefits of this new brake include controlled brake current, internal temperature control, large brake time range, adjustable brake time and current at an external point, no external jumpers required on unused inputs and the ability to set brake times.

The original PKB is designed for larger motors, with braking currents from 4 to 500A. More economical than previous multi-unit systems, the PKB and PKB-M offer users compact housings, with a wide range of brake current capacities.
