Sonomax Hearing Healthcare Inc.: Mine Safety Appliances Obtains CA Certification
Sao Paolo, Brazil - Sonomax Hearing Healthcare Inc. recently announced that after a lengthy regulatory process, Mine Safety Appliances has been successful in obtaining CA certification for Sonomax's SonoCustom hearing protectors. This certification, the equivalent of FDA approval in the United States, opens the door to the full-scale rollout of Sonomax's products in Latin America that has been one year in the planning. The markets that MSA will support are Brazil, Argentina, Chile and Peru, markets that are heavily populated with workers in the petrochemical, mining and manufacturing sectors.
The license agreement signed and announced last year pertains to Sonomax's proprietary SonoCustom hearing protectors which provide a unique, instant-fit, custom-fit earplug for protection against hazardous noise, as well as Sonomax's SonoPass patented proof-of-performance software.
"The time waiting for this approval was well spent. We used it as an opportunity to introduce Sonomax's products to our customer base, and the feedback we have received has given us an extremely high level of confidence that the market is ready for such a technology", said Enrique Estevez, Marketing Manager for MSA in Latin America. Mr. Estevez went on to say that he believes MSA has the right corporate structure to bring such a product to market. "With offices and a team of Product Marketing Specialists and Sales Managers in every major market, we believe that Sonomax will be very pleased with its choice of partner for these very fertile markets."
Said Nick Laperle, President of Sonomax, "MSA, an acknowledged world leader in mine safety, now serves a wide range of industries that employ sophisticated safety products. Sonomax's hearing protection has earned unqualified acceptance by some of the world's leading mining companies and is now making notable inroads on the industrial front, including a number of Fortune 500 integrated oil, petrochemical, and manufacturing companies. It would be hard to argue that MSA's strong customer base in companies that subscribe to the use of sophisticated safety products and Sonomax's advanced personal protection equipment, make this anything less than the perfect marriage." With MSA in place, Sonomax will now be able to support the South American locations of Sonomax's existing customers that have already adopted our technology with great success and user satisfaction as well as develop new customers that are unique to South America.
