Spahr Elected President of SEDA

Steve Spahr, president of Sanderson Supply Co. (Portland, OR), has been elected president of the Safety Equipment Distributors Association (SEDA). He succeeds Fred Loepp, from W.W. Grainger, who served as SEDA president for two years.

Spahr's company was a founding member of SEDA when the organization was created in 1968. Sanderson Safety Supply is a regional safety equipment distributor that also specializes in fire protection and mobile first aid. Spahr is a past president of the National Industrial Glove Distributors Association and has served on the SEDA board and its membership and catalog committees.

"The goal of the incoming board is not to run the entire organization, but to include the membership in the process of achieving our goals. We will continue to strengthen our education and training sessions, distributor catalog program, member operational surveys on profitability and compensation, and have a much higher level of communication involving product standards," said Spahr.
