This program provides basic knowledge on responding to hazardous materials incidents and provides an overview of the nine hazard classes. Live action sequences show different response tactics that should be considered before attempting to mitigate a hazardous materials incident. Colorful graphics and animation are used to illustrate such concepts as the states of matter, pressure/temperature relationship, expansion ratio and radiation hazards. The program provides animated segues between sections so that the trainer can stop the program for topic discussions or break up the training session into smaller modules.

The program includes a comprehensive Trainer's Guide with overhead transparencies that can be used to tailor the training experience to the particular needs of the trainees. A full color placard and label guide is also included.
