VaporGard is a gas phase decontamination process which effectively kills up to 99% of exposed microorganisms. This process is used to lower the bioburden of a building by "knocking down" the airborne microbes that can cause allergic reactions. The VaporGard process is used in both supply and return areas of an HVAC system, as well as occupied spaces of the building. VaporGard essentially destroys the microbes that are being circulated in the air throughout the building.
  • The VaporGard process leaves no residue on building surfaces and causes no deterioration of building materials. Other treatments such as ozone can affect a building structure because of its corrosiveness to surfaces. A paraformaldehyde treatment involves burning crystals of formaldehyde which can leave a dangerous residue and further affect building occupant health. VaporGard treatment is the safest and most affective way to treat airborne microbes.
  • The VaporGard process quickly kills spores, bacteria, yeast, viruses, protozoans, molds, and mildews. It is also biodegradable, and deodorizes the area as it kills microorganisms.
