WorkWell International Conference Achieves Significant Pacing Event For WorkWell Provider Network

Aliso Viejo, CA — The WorkWell Systems Provider Network held its International Provider conference in September, calling it a significant, pacing event in the industry and a major success for all involved.

"The 2006 Partners in Growth Conference provided forward thinking speakers with revolutionary ideas about the way we look at disability, work injury and loss prevention," said Margot Miller, vice president and general manager of the WorkWell Systems Provider Network.

WorkWell, a top provider of physical medicine and workers' compensation solutions, presents the conference for its global network of health professionals including physical therapists (PTs), occupational therapists (OTs), and occupational health professionals representing the most innovative and successful providers of workplace health services. The conference provides a platform for discussion, debate and sharing of best practices on how to better serve the needs of individual clients and their organizations, while providing improved efficiencies and operations.

"The 2006 WorkWell conference delivered an invaluable mix of information on occupational health trends and insights from our peers," said Kristen Cederlind, OT, director of rehabilitation services at Emanuel Medical Center in Turlock, Calif. "As a whole, the information presented raised the bar on what to expect from the industry moving forward."

"This conference is very important to providers. The professionalism, organizational skills and level of knowledge presented by the WorkWell executive team and faculty has consistently been and continues to be above the industry standard," commented Gilles Chabot, general manager, Sudbury Physio Centre.

Held in Minneapolis, the Partners in Growth Conference was highlighted by keynotes on disability prevention and return-to-work from Dr. Jennifer Christian, M.D., M.P.H. and an innovative look at safety and injury prevention programs by well-known occupational therapist and exercise physiologist Michael Melnik. WorkWell CEO George Carpenter delivered a compelling overview of the major changes facing healthcare such as obesity and an aging workforce.

WorkWell's proprietary decision support tools, global network of health professionals and international research team support an integrated approach to pre-work physical screening, workers' compensation program management and return-to-work plans. Services are delivered through the company's worldwide network of over 10,000 certified physical and occupational therapy healthcare professionals.
